After the birth of my own daughter and transition into early motherhood, I became passionate about cultivating a positive birth experience and postpartum period for all mothers.  I became a doula to help parents find their voice and express their desires and needs during labor, along with feeling confident in their parenting choices once they bring their baby home.

Originally from Raleigh, NC, I’ve lived in NYC since 2006 and currently reside in Battery Park City.  I’ve been working in television and film as an actor during my time here in NYC.  You may have seen me giving birth on an episode of “Bull” on CBS!  I hold a BFA in Musical Theatre from East Carolina University.  I also have a background in hospitality- specifically restaurant management, where I met my husband, Kevin, who owns L’Artusi restaurant in the West Village.  Together, we have a daughter, Maisie, who is the joy of our lives.  Throughout 2020, I volunteered as an advocate for sexual assault survivors through Mount Sinai Beth Israel.  It was this experience that gave me a greater yearning to advocate and help people, which ultimately led to my decision to become a doula.  I’m trained through DONA International- the world’s leading doula certifying organization.  I’m certified in adult and infant CPR through the American Heart Assoication.

It is an honor to be able to guide you in the early stages of your parenthood and to provide non-judgmental support in your choices.  You are the best parent for your baby, and I’m humbled to be a part of your journey.
